These terms apply to the IlmSaathi app and the website ilmsaathi.in (together, "IlmSaathi"). By creating an account or using IlmSaathi, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use IlmSaathi.

1. Who can use IlmSaathi

• You must be at least 13 years old to have your own account. Younger children may use IlmSaathi only through a kids profile created and supervised by a parent or guardian.
• A parent who creates a kids profile is responsible for the child's use of it.
• To receive money as a mufti or seller, you must be 18 or older and complete our verification (KYC).

2. Your account

Keep your password and parent PIN private; you are responsible for activity on your account. Give accurate information and keep it up to date. One person may not run many accounts to misuse rewards, referrals or offers. You can delete your account at any time (how).

3. Religious content

We take great care to use authentic, reputable sources for the Quran text, translations, Hadith, Duas and other content, and to credit them. Translations and explanations are aids to understanding, not a replacement for the Arabic or for a qualified scholar. Answers in Ask a Mufti and talks in live rooms are the personal scholarly views of the mufti giving them. Prayer times, Qibla and Zakat calculations are estimates based on the method you choose and the information you enter; please check with your local masjid or a scholar for your own situation. 4. Community rules

IlmSaathi is a place for beneficial knowledge and good manners. You agree not to post or send anything that:

• insults, harasses, threatens or spreads hatred against anyone, including on the basis of religion, sect, caste, gender or nationality;
• is sexual, vulgar or violent, or involves children in any inappropriate way;
• is false or misleading, including fabricated hadith presented as authentic;
• is spam, a scam, advertising without permission, or asks for money outside IlmSaathi's payment features;
• infringes someone's copyright or privacy, or shares someone's personal information without consent;
• breaks any law in India or where you live.

Content is checked automatically and by moderators. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules. You can report content or block a user from within the app.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You give IlmSaathi a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it within IlmSaathi so the service can work (for example, showing your post to others). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where others have already shared it or we must keep it by law.

6. Coins, payments and donations

Hadiya coins

• Hadiya coins are bought through Google Play or Razorpay and are used inside IlmSaathi, for example to send hadiya gifts to verified muftis or to join paid live talks.
• Coins are a licence to use a feature, not money. They cannot be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged for cash, and they have no value outside IlmSaathi.
• Purchases are final once coins are delivered, except where required by law or by Google Play's refund policy. If you were charged and did not get your coins, contact us and we will fix it.
• Free coins earned from tasks and rewards cannot be bought or sold and may expire or be adjusted if obtained by misuse.

Muftis and sellers

Verified muftis receive earnings from hadiya gifts and paid live talks, after IlmSaathi's commission shown in the app. Sellers receive payment for shop orders after commission. Withdrawals require completed KYC and are paid to the verified bank account, subject to the minimum amount and applicable taxes. We may hold payments that look fraudulent while we check them.

Sadaqah

Donations go to the cause you choose. We verify causes before listing them and share updates where available, but we cannot guarantee how a third-party organisation uses funds. Donations are not refundable once made, except in case of a payment error. Unless a cause says so, donations through IlmSaathi are not eligible for tax deduction.

Shop

Products in the shop are sold by IlmSaathi or by verified muftis who run a shop on IlmSaathi, as shown on each product. Sellers' products are reviewed by us before they are listed. Prices include applicable taxes unless stated. Orders can be cancelled before they are packed. If an item arrives damaged or wrong, contact us within 7 days of delivery.

7. Live rooms

Only verified muftis can host live rooms. Speakers are invited by the host, who can remove anyone who breaks the rules. Live rooms are not recorded by IlmSaathi; please do not record or share others' voices without their permission.

8. Acceptable use

Do not try to hack, overload, reverse-engineer or copy IlmSaathi, scrape its content in bulk, or use bots or automation to use it. Do not use IlmSaathi to cheat in quizzes or leaderboards.

9. Our content and third-party content

The IlmSaathi name, logo, design and original content belong to us. Quran texts, translations, recitations, hadith collections and other material come from their respective sources and are used under their licences or with permission; their owners keep their rights.

10. Changes and availability

We may add, change or remove features, and we may update these terms. We will tell you in the app about important changes; continuing to use IlmSaathi after they take effect means you accept them. We try to keep IlmSaathi available, but we do not promise it will always work without interruption.

11. Disclaimers and liability

IlmSaathi is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content posted by users, muftis, sellers or third parties. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

12. Ending your use

You may stop using IlmSaathi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law. Unused purchased coins are lost when an account is deleted or closed for breaking these terms.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem. Disputes that cannot be resolved will be handled by the competent courts in India.
